Purpose of the Policy:

The purpose of this sustainability policy is to reflect Get Lost’s commitment to sustainable development, which is an essential part of our business management. Environmental Policy

Get Lost is committed to operating with environmental and social responsibility, ensuring that its tourism activities are sustainable and respectful of the natural and cultural environment. To achieve this, the company establishes the following policies:

  1. Get Lost does not and will not keep wild animals in captivity and is committed to actively protecting wildlife in the areas where it operates.
  2. Get Lost prohibits tree cutting and deforestation in the areas where it conducts its tourism activities, promoting the conservation of the natural environment.
  3. Get Lost does not purchase products that generate negative environmental or social impacts, ensuring its operations are responsible and sustainable.
  4. Get Lost carefully selects its suppliers, ensuring they comply with PANIAMOR’s code of ethics regarding the sexual exploitation of children in Costa Rica.
  5. Get Lost strictly complies with the regulations established by the Organic Environmental Law No. 7554, ensuring respect for the country’s environmental regulations.
  6. Get Lost properly manages solid waste and gray or residual water generated during its activities, following the specifications of the Ministry of Health.
  7. Get Lost promotes responsible and sustainable tourism by providing its customers with information about biodiversity, environmental conservation, and local cultures, aiming to minimize environmental and cultural impact at each destination.
  8. Get Lost uses energy-efficient technology, such as LED bulbs, to reduce electricity consumption in its operations.
  9. Get Lost uses water rationally by avoiding waste and controlling leaks through automated technologies in restrooms and offices. Additionally, it encourages its customers to commit to this practice.
  10. Get Lost contracts transport providers that use modern vehicles in perfect condition, with low emissions and reduced noise. These providers comply with DEKRA standards and have the necessary insurance according to Costa Rican regulations.
  11. Get Lost supports the promotion of local values and cultures through initiatives that contribute to the human and cultural development of the communities where it operates.
  12. Get Lost maximizes the automation of its processes to minimize paper use across its entire value chain, thereby reducing environmental impact.
